Two Overseas Branches Established in Krirk University, Thailand

The Sino-Thai International College of Culture and Tourism and the Overseas Teacher Training Center of Weihai Vocational College were set up on June 26th, which were co-established by Weihai Vocational College and Krirk University (KRU).

Vice President Qu Guidong of Weihai Vocational College signed the cooperation agreement with Dr. Prangtip Yuvanont, the counterpart of KRU. Both parties will start a series of cooperation on teacher development, talent training in culture and tourism, exchange students and teachers, academic exchange and research results exchange.

Krirk University, founded by Dr. Krirk Mangalabruks in 1952, is the earliest private university with the longest history in Thailand. Political Relationship and Public Administration are national key subjects, while Business Administration, Education, Physical Education and Law are model majors delivered in Chinese, English and Thai under the approval of Thai Educational Administration.

The two branches are the first organizations established abroad by Weihai Vocational College, a landmark in the development of educational internationalization of this college. The move will further boost the communication between the college and countries along the Belt and Road, facilitate the co-construction and mutual-sharing of vocational educational resources between China and Thailand and push the college to become a top-ranking vocational college with profound international influence.
